Read about this on this forum earlier this year. Called in and spoke to new owners. A lot of work has already been done to bring the old pub back to its former glory, but a lot more still to do. If you are travelling out that way, call in and say hello, the owners will be only to happy to show you around and tell you some of the history of the place. Hopefully we will get back for the grand re-opening for the Betoota Cup Weekend in August.

Hasn't changed much since I was there around 1980 on our way back to Melbourne after dropping in at Birdsville for the races. Passing through with a couple of mates. One on a 650 Yamaha, couple of guys on the BMW from Weipa, I was on the XL250 and out of the picture is our support vehicle, HQ holden with a garden trailer.

We took a pile of 2wd vehicles / sedans and wagons there on an Endevour Car Rally back in the i’d guess early to mid 90’s...I think it may have actually been the Super Endevour trip now, where we continued on up to Cape York from there.
