Heading away for two weeks up to Uluru, Alice Springs then back via Marla on Oodnadatta track to Flinders Ranges. Looking for a couple of good camps sites on the way home. Has anyone stayed at Kathleen Creek or Olarinna Creek (Todmorden) and then suggested places to stay. Will be at Todmorden on Tuesday need to be in Flinders by Friday night. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Brynworth

On leaving Todmorden on the Oodnadatta Track you have the Algebuckina Bridge, Peake, Beresford Ruins, Coward Springs (recommend), Curdimurka, and would recommend Farina ruins as your last night before the Flinders Ranges.
We have camped at all of the above, there is a lot to see on the OT to fill in your two days.
Enjoy the Track.

Hi guys, agree with baznpud, have camped at Algebuckina & Beresford Ruins, both great places. Plenty of birdlife at Beresford.

I'd go past Marla and come in through the Painted Desert, far better in scenery. Camp at Arckaringa Station and check out the awesome landscape further down the road, its amazing. Then come onto the Oodnadatta Track. Coward Springs as mentioned just take in your own fire wood. How far down into the Flinders do you want to go?
Northern side: Warraweena, the Prospectors site is great, so is the 4wd track to Mt Gill.
Heaps of history in Baltana, you'll go through this town to get to Warraweena.
