Both have been blessed by the
grader gods.
Gary Junction is crap out to
Papunya, fair to rough to the WA border then smooth as a baby's bum to the Canning & K-Mart. Diesel at KMart is $3.40 a litre. Best to take on a gut full at
Kiwirrkurra. New managers at the Kiwirr store. Gary and Sue. Nice people and doing a great job. Diesel $2.60..nice. A bit tedious after Kmart but still OK. Graders were at
Gary Junction a week ago heading west. Two graders doing a great job.
Talawana from
well 23 is corrugated but from Parrngurr west is like a super highway. FMG is doing a lot of work out that way so roads are supurb. 100kph for the brave (or foolish). Spent a picturesque but stressfull hour priming the fuel system after an air lock between tank transfers out there. Had just finished when a contract diesel mechanic passed by. An hour too late. I cried lol.
Rudall access tracks are tough as guts and resemble the worst of the Canning corrugations, particularly to the north. Have been into
Darlsen Pinnacle to find another EO member was brave enough to tackle it. We followed their tracks of some weeks back and man, talk about stones of steel! Totally fearsome drive so
well done Mick n Rick.
Troops are mustering at DQB to remember our mate Jaydub. Wall to wall arctic cat diesels. If you're around, drop in. Inaugral Rudall Ball in a few days so currently in
Newman picking up party snacks and Princess VikO before heading back.
Safe travels all.
Mick.

G'day Mick, Did all that last year except
Darlsen Pinnacle, and would happily do it again. It is a great part of the world and Karlamilyi NP is certainly one of my favourites.
Safe travels and have a ball at the Ball.
Cheers, Chris

Cheers Chris. Main Rudall access track is busy with traffic getting around the flooded sections of the Canning. Not many heading in to the attractions though. Good for us i suppose. Mick.

Drive safe Phil. Suze and crew are still on The Hunt. Expect most to be drifting in 17-18th. Leigh H and Greame arrived in last night. Larry is in the Alice. Canadians holding the fort at DQB. I'll be back there sometime tomorrow (16th). Route to Darlsen has already been scouted so all is going to plan. Looking forward to a fire and a yarn. See you soon. Mick.

Thanks for the update, Mick. We plan to be in the Rudall R NP around 24th July. 2 x BT50s towing
Kimberley Karavans. Planning to in via Telfer and out via Parrngurr. Prepared to give it a miss if it's not suitable, so any advice from Mick or any member will be appreciated.
Cheers
