Has anyone travelled from
Yunta to Arkaroola recently, we are wanting to go that way towing a van, and not sure of road conditions. Thanks

Not very recent, but many times in the past.
Generally good gravel roads.
Cheers,

Next door neighbors went that way last weekend. Even had some rain which made the track slippery, so
check with
Yunta to find out if it got chopped up or not. But generally was in good condition before the rain.

BP
Yunta = best steak sandwiches IN THE WORLD.......
Local heavy transport uses that road. if you are set up for some corrugation and dust youll be fine.

Pretty good gravel road. Sat on 80-90 most of the time towing a 1 1/2 tonne trailer. Plenty to see on the way too.

The road used to be a good gravel road, not anymore.
There are road trains going to & from the
mine up near the
Blinman Rd, causing considerable damage to the road.
It's now pretty much 280km's or so of corrugations. Mixed in with lots and lots of cattle grids.
If you're lucky, you'll get on it just after it's been graded, which will make all the difference.
But, I'd go up via Copley/Nepabunna if I was towing a van these days.

Bliman is nowhere near the
Yunta to Arkaroola road. When we went up my mate drove a Mitshubishi Outlander towing a trailer, the road was great and we never saw a single truck. Are you sure you have the right road?

To clarify, there is a road heading west from the
Yunta to Arkaroola Rd, that heads to
Blinman via
Wirrealpa. The
mine is very close to the south of that
intersection.
Like I said, it used to be a good Rd, but things change.
I towed a van down from Arkaroola to
Yunta recently. I wouldn't do it again while the
mine is operating. Much easier to come in through Nepabunna, or even
Blinman IMO.

Just came down to
Yunta from Arkaroola 2days ago and it was a good piece of road. A couple of short rough spots but good. It also depends on what peoples version of good and bad are. We were not towing but saw several vans 21ft travelling north towards Arkaroola.
