Has anyone travelled from
Yunta to Arkaroola recently, we are wanting to go that way towing a van, and not sure of road conditions. Thanks

The road used to be a good gravel road, not anymore.
There are road trains going to & from the
mine up near the
Blinman Rd, causing considerable damage to the road.
It's now pretty much 280km's or so of corrugations. Mixed in with lots and lots of cattle grids.
If you're lucky, you'll get on it just after it's been graded, which will make all the difference.
But, I'd go up via Copley/Nepabunna if I was towing a van these days.

Bliman is nowhere near the
Yunta to Arkaroola road. When we went up my mate drove a Mitshubishi Outlander towing a trailer, the road was great and we never saw a single truck. Are you sure you have the right road?

To clarify, there is a road heading west from the
Yunta to Arkaroola Rd, that heads to
Blinman via
Wirrealpa. The
mine is very close to the south of that
intersection.
Like I said, it used to be a good Rd, but things change.
I towed a van down from Arkaroola to
Yunta recently. I wouldn't do it again while the
mine is operating. Much easier to come in through Nepabunna, or even
Blinman IMO.
