My drivers window switch only works intermittently.
Soon I will get caught with the window stuck 'down' while away and I will be in trouble.
Mechanic says switch contacts are worn are out and need to be replaced.
Apparently all the window switches are in the drivers console and are not interchangeable.
Does anyone know of a fix for this problem, without full replacement at a very significant cost and delivery delay.
Mechanic found a second hand replacement interstate for $600, but with no guarantee it would be any better than mine.

Any advice on at least a temporary fix will be greatly appreciated.

Crikey!
I am not an ebay person normally and I certainly did not expect to find such switches available there, especially with the bonus of a very reasonable price.

Can't believe my mechanic did not put me onto it.

I must join ebay, now!

Many thanks guys...……………

Double check it is the right one.

Welcome to the wonderful world of saving thousands on EBAY.

I bought a tail light. Toyota wanted $900. The ebay one was $180 delivered from China. 7 years later it still looked new.

I've been on eBay for 18 years as both a buyer and seller, and that marketplace is a godsend.

I have sourced hundreds of items made of Unobtainium from around the world - even a complete radiator shell for my 1931 Chev roadster (from some backwoods area of the U.S.)!

I've just sourced a complete engine rebuild kit (all gaskets, new pistons, new rings, new liners, and all bearings) off eBay, for a 1Z Toyota diesel in a forklift (the 4 cyl version of the 1HZ) - for $637 - air delivered to my door from China, in 9 days from order!
The best part? Most of the supplied components are either made in Japan or Taiwan!

However, eBay was much better many years ago, before eBay decided it only wanted to deal with big sellers.
You got a lot of little sellers in the old days, with some fantastic stuff, and great prices.

Cheers, Ron.
