Heard on the grape vine that there is a good camping site at Bertie Creek that you have to drive downstream for about 1km to get to. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of the site or have the GPS waypoint for it. I know where the one at the Dulhunty gauging station is but apparently this one at the Bertie is stunning.
Thanks
Pete

Sorry guys - but I didn't think this was a secret spot given that I saw Ron Moon et al driving down a creek to set up
camp in one of the many videos of
Cape York adventuring. Didn't say which creek but someone else in the group watching the video said he thought it looked like Bertie. Once again sorry if I revealed one of your favourite haunts.
Cheers

The spot your thinking of is a top spot and only holds about 6 trucks and you have to be freinds to
camp because its small we found it about 5 years ago and always got it to because
the entrance was hard to find.
But now its like a drive way .
All the best
