Dead right Ron. The son and I done a pretty big fabrication job near Alice in 2014. We sent all the gear
home on the truck and we decided to go
home over the Simpson.
We caught up to the Nissan patrol 4WD club with about 4 members bogged on the same
sand dune west t of the colson track on the French line.
We chatted to the last member of the group as they finally got over. He was pretty annoyed about the the whole trip.
The leader was driving a Land Rover defender. He was a legend in his own lunch time. This massive blue started over the uhf because everyone was spread out and not following close. It was on for
young and old.
We finally got past them and stopped at the Colson intersection for early lunch and these clowns all caught up to us.
The defender stopped first and this fellas girl friend hopped out of the defender wearing gum boots. Lol.
Always have a quiet laugh to myself every time I see a defender now.
Made Russell’s show so much more entertaining tonight
