It is definitely spelt "Cowalla"

We use the road regularly as it intersects the road our farm is on.
Some pronounce the name as Cow - Allah and Koala. However, we have always pronounced it as Cow-Lah.

Given we are from a fourth generation family that settled the area, I suspect our pronunciation is the accepted - given all the other long term settler families also call it the same.
