Sacred Cow
A few days ago we had to change our Internet Service Provider as they were not offering a migration path to NBN. As a result our email addresses changed and there was the not insignificant task of changing our email addresses with scores of government bureaus, companies and not least internet forums. This was done successfully with all these organisations except for the excellent LCOOL
forum of which I have been a member for several years.
As a result of changing my email address with LCOOL, my login was immediately deactivated. I have written to admin@lcool.org to raise this issue but have received no response. I have also filed a new application but no response. So is this
forum still operational and are there any alternatives for 200 Series vehicles?

LCOOL is still a viable
forum but seemingly 'stale' and it's a pain when you are in a situation where your log in details change.
Technically you have to reinvent yourself as a new member if the
forum site is of use/interest to you.
Offroad80's is a very good
forum, your 200 series is covered in the 'all makes' section on the
forum, which covers all things ~ vehicle and travel etc.

Have a deeper look and try 'the car port' ~ there's an all makes section in there technically for folks who don't have an 80 series.

Hopefully you didnt make the same mistake again of your new email address being the one provided by your ISP.. it would suck to go through this again in a few years time. Much better to use GMail or similar.

A very good point. I though long and hard about that but it was a value judgment in the end. I did not want my personal information in the hands of American company, especially Google. Of course I can see your point of view clearly.

LCOOL is still the best specialised
forum of its type.
Sometimes it can take the admins a little while to get through requests such as yours as they may be away, or tied up with work or family etc.
Be a little patient, I’m sure they will sort you out shortly.

Agreed.
Remember the guys running it are volunteers. As such they can't always respond in a short time frame.
If that's not good enough for you then Google is your friend.

I have also had probems logging into LCOOL, and changed passwords etc
and even thou I could see my login visible on the main page, I could not navigate
anywhere. Numerous emails over three months to Admin have been unanswered.
So don't hold your breath waiting !
