In the next few days we are heading for Lake Bindeglly, Diamantina NP,
Birdsville Track, Haligan Bay (Lake Eyre), Borefield Road to
Roxby Downs. We have been to most of these
places before but would be interested in recent information regarding road conditions and how badly these
places are effected by drought.
We are driving a Prado towing an old Aussie Swag camper.
Wondering if there is any water/birds at Bindegolly. Hoping to see multi-coloured Sturt Desert Peas around Roxby and
Andamooka.

Hi
John and Min. Bindegolly has no water in it. Hasn't had for years. No water birds. Cheers Toni

Hi Toni, Thank you so much. We were there in 2014 and wanted to go back ever since. So sad to think what country folk, their stock, the country itself and the wildlife have been living through for so long.

Was in
Diamantina Lakes NP in June, and water in
Hunters Gorge and Gum Hole, but the channels were fast receding.
The loop was closed, but might be open by now. Went as far as the lake and some water in it. Otherwise, generally dry area.

Thanks Phil. I think this trip will be put on hold until more appropriate conditions prevail.
