Gday
My little darlings gave me a Thunder Box for fathers day , i was thinking i can use that.
Well my little darling took me up to the
Avon River last weekend which gave me plenty of time to
test the Thunde box
. After setting the box up in a spot that had a nice view, i settled down to give it a good
test. What a plesant way to spend time in the bush, the Thunder Box was just great and i recomend them to all and sundry.

Been using one for over 5 years. Only downside we have found is it can and will sink in sandy areas

Also make sure you don’t dig the hole too wide, that’ll make it sink for sure.
Macca.

I have pop riveted two bits of 30mm RHS on the bottom of the two non folding sides and put two half meter bits of pipe through them when on soft ground

I made a cut out base with a routed slot the same as under the top, put 2 swivel catches on it the same as under the top. It all still fits in the same bag.
If you don’t have router skills, you could just nail a light batten on to a cut out base so that it locates around the inside of the box.

Is it any good in the middle of a rice field to scare the ducks away?

I had one for a while,. No doubt they are a great way to do your duty.
Not so nice when you pack it up and put it in the back of a wagon

I can’t see why it would be a problem, unless you are using it incorrectly.
