Have just purchased a new Android tablet after many years. Have re-loaded Ozi with my Explore Oz skin, all my waypoints etc but have somehow set the display to have my heading always up which means the Ozi map is on its side. Can't for the life of me figure out how to revert back to map always north.
Any advice?

Hello

With the program running and map on screen have you tried tapping on the north arrow - from memory this toggles between north up and course up...but dont have tablet at moment so cant confirm.

Cheers

I have mine here and can confirm that. It is the broad arrow in the grey circle left of screen.

Duh. How simple was that. Trawled through all the settings both Ozi and ExploreOz.
Thanks for your help. Don’t have to drive with my head on my shoulder now.

You should get Exploroz Traveller on that new tablet, you'll love it!

Thanks Michelle. Have traveller on my iPhone. I’d have to purchase it again for the Android tablet wouldn’t I?

Do you really want direction of travel up all the time, I used to have it that way but these days prefer north up, you can look at the map and instantly see which direction you are heading, I find this especially useful when communicating with others. Quite often you'll hear chatter on the radio and ask what direction are they travelling or tell them which way your travelling. They'll come back and say where travelling west for example but when your query them are you sure they change their mind. A lot of times I believe their confusing is a result of having direction of travel always up.

That was exactly my problem. The display had my heading up at all times. North up is what I prefer and what I’m used to. All ok now.
