Upon a time not long ago some people were on a camping trip with their friends and Mr Pesty was cooking on his stove - but lo and behold something was wrong with it. Never mind about that we will fix it tomorrow. When tomorrow came everyone had forgotten about the stove not working (including Mr Pesty) and something very bad happened when he lit the match. I can now report that the stove fell to earth not far from here today - it has been flying through the sky for nearly two months. Ho ho ho.

Ruth,
Those of us who have known the said "Mr Pesty" for a while are only too well aware that he is one VERY DANGEROUS dude and anyone who hangs around him has to be prepared to pay the price!!! LOL
The sad news is that his eyes are just about stuffed now......yesterday he couldn't distinguish between one house boat and TWO from about 100 meters away !!!
Oh well, I think Mrs Pesty still luvs him.....gord only knows why!!! LOL
Please explain a bit more about what exactly fell from the sky???

Cheers,

Roachie

He told us all "ONE" story about his petrol stove going phhsssttt on him during the trip; so I know the incident you're talking about....it's just that perhaps it actually had a different outcome to the version he told the rest of us.
Oh, I really DO hope you have some dirt on him that we can use for many months to come.......please tell all......

Cheers,

Roachie

PS: you should have come down to Berri, we had a blast and Willie was a surprise visitor too.

Sorry,
I mentioned that Willie turned up, but like the ignorant mongrel i am, I clean forgot to mention that (more importantly) Judith and Princess (I know that's not her real name, but I can't remember what it is) were there too.

Hey Ruth,

I'd be careful posting stories about Pesty if I were you. Rumours heard around the campfire at Berri suggest that he has some ammunition on your good self that he is just waiting to fire!!!

Hey Muddy - gotta bit dirt on the 'doe. On ya. Yeah well, I happen to know that he was to have a prostate checkup at Berri! Did it happen?
He mustn't be listening tonight - bet he's dying to find out how I know.
He ain't got nothin' on me.

Sorry Ruth but he has. He wouldn't expand on it but he said something about "Well done Ruth Bravo" perhaps you can come clean before he does.
It was really great to catch up with you if only on the phone. Andrew did display the photo album of Birdsville too.

Roachie let that cat out of the bag ages ago - anyhow, Ian swears it was a Triton but he really wasn't in a position to know! It was a Bravo - only time I've ever been really impressed with Mazda and Ergon Energy. Told Ian last Wednesay that I was off to Berri for a berri nice time - we weren't that busy here (apart from having to do rooms because Corrail had the long weekend off). Weather's a bit colder last night and this a.m. - Glenn might need to put a jacket on. LOL. Wouldn't notice it after his trip to the High Country over the weekend. Was there enough snow to ski, haven't heard. Miss you all - got quite sad after talking to you - but John and Heather and the chardonnay and horny port made up for it, almost. They are so nice.

Hello Peter and Mrs Peter - on the plagon is says Tawny Port but it has been my experience (and I don't need comments from you lot, thank you) that it really should read Horny Port. Come on Mrs peter - you know what I mean. Wink! Wink!

Ruth, Pesty is still out there some where trying to push the old cruiser into a mungrel head wind. Did notice there was a fair bit of wind coming from Pestys direction this morning while around the camp fire!

Yeh,

It was just as well he was down wind of the camp fire too, or we might have had the same fate as that bloody stove of his which finally just came back to earth from it's lunar orbit!!! He tries to blame all that Port he drinks around the fire the night before for all the internal convulsions he suffers from (or should I say WE all "suffer" from). But we all know that it's a product of all the "sheet" he espouses about cruisers. All that hot air's gotta end up someplace, eh?

Anyway Gerk, you shouldn't talk too loud either, your internal combustion system also sounded like it was firing on all cylinders this morning too. Next time we go camping, I'm gunna wait and see where YOU set up your camp first and then I'll make sure we don't camp next to you. Does the forum know about the seat colour change of your "new" Rodeo?

Hey, Ken and D. did you go up to Berri - sure you were supposed to?
In that case, you could tell us what really went on. Notice there has been nothing REALLY posted about 4wding - again, like Little Desert, too much sitting round the warm campfire drinking (mulled wine) obviously.
I was working and only hd Lone Wolf for company - gosh, glad everyone's back!! LOL
