After having done the Canning twice, the
Alice Springs truck show via the Plenty Hwy and
Mount Isa, outback “Highways/Roads” including Heather, Gunbarrel, Anne Beadell, Sandy Blight, Great Central,
Kiwirrkurra, David
Carnegie,
White Cliffs, both Gary’s and Ayers
Rock (Uluru) twice it’s time to pack up my bowl and become a
home dog.
Hell, I’ve even been
places that I shouldn’t have been so I kept my head down, remembering I was only the passenger/ freeloader.
The worst parts of my trips were frozen water in my bowl, wearing a coat, sometimes wearing a muzzle at water holes and to top it off being expected to round up the camels, does he forget I’m a cattle dog!
Even though my
seat was comfy, the air con was really good, the
dingo’s and the corrugations have just become too much!!!
I have met a lot of people on my travels, so to you all I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year.

That's like a reverse retirement plan :)
Good luck with the
home time Missy, hope it's not too boring for you.

Hi,
Thanks. My father was a rabbiter and ran a whippet in the pack. It was the fastest, not many away.
Regards,
Dave

Fancy that, a dog who can type English. I've heard of talking horses, but not this.

Hey Missy, I remember your dad telling me a few years back that when you saw him packing the vehicle for another trip, you parked yourself by the front wheel and wouldn't leave until he put you on board for the trip.
Hey Dave I hope all is
well, best wishes for the season - etc.

Hi Phil,
It's been awhile since we had a chat.
Yes, she is a pain when packing for a trip, under your feet, in the way and eyeballing the ute, must have been left behind once …
Regards,
Dave

Thanks Duck,
They both got a lamb shank, magpie goose legs and breasts for Missy's birthday.
Doesn't need the gold watch as she has an inbuilt clock.
Regards,
Dave

Thanks Stephen,
A very faithful and no nonsense dog who try to boss you around but thrive on doing as they're told.
We had two at a time for the last 32 years and Missy is the first to last past 12, maybe it's the
Darwin climate.
Regards,
Dave

Hi Dave
They are such a loyal and faithful dog indeed. We should have called Millie Super Glue, as she would never leave my side and was always within 6" of my feet.
We have had a number of great dogs over the years, but Millie was just so special.
Have a fantastic Christmas and all the best for 2019.
Cheers
Stephen
Millie and I on one of our camping trips on the Murray River, she was nearly 15
Me and my girl Millie, a few months before she had to be put down at 16

Thanks Pinko,
Heelers and Kelpies are my favourite dog breeds.
My Dad had a Kelpie by his side for as long as I can remember.
The new chick magnet has big boots to fill.
Exy & Missy

Dave
