Two km before
Southern Cross on left there is a 24hr
free camp, turn left at Three Boys Road. No amenities just
parking areas amongst trees, was there a week ago.

There is one between
Southern Cross and
Coolgardie on the left (nothern) side of the road heading to Kalgoorlie.
It has a drop
toilet,
dump point etc.
Just checked on Wikicamps (maybe you need this app) and I think it is Boorabbin Koorarwalyee 24hr stop -
try this.

Karalee Rocks, approx 50km west of
southern cross. Great clean spot with lots to explore.

I think it's 50km east of
Southern Cross, 4-5 kms north of the highway. Was there a week ago.

Karalee Rock or Boondi
Rock are probably two of the best sites along that stretch.
My preference would be Karalee, a bit more to look at.

Why don’t you try the Hayden to
Norseman road. It is a extremely
well maintained gravel road with great camping spots through out. It is shorter, less busy and more picturesque with 16 interpretive sites outlining the history of the area. Road is the
Woodlands Granite track. We did it 2 weeks ago and loved it.
