We tried exploring this track 2 weeks ago and got lost a few times. One part has Road Closed sign and it was open. Another was a mining road...no entry private rd. We found the directions need to be improved...I thing the Scarp road sign goes 3 directions and is confusing. We made it to Logue Brook Dam then gave up. It would make sense to have red tags on the trees every so many meters so you can follow them and stick to the track.

You say you found the directions need to be improved, perhaps it would be helpful to other travellers if you could provide some detailed feedback to the WA 4WD Association so that they can investigate and correct the route plan if necçesary.
I don't think red tags on trees would last very long and may be a bit more confusing as the colour fades and the wind removes a few. Road closed signs will be the responsibility of the local council and can be placed at any time, and maybe left over too long after roadworks.
Were you using a mapping app ? If so, which one and do you have a copy of your track ? The track file would be helpful to check and compare to track files from other people who have been on the route.
The WA4WDA website will have an email contact and you could contact them direct. Good on you for having a go though.
Cheers
Peter
