A few units may have a fault
Check your serial number and organise a replacement with redarc if needed.
Safe travels and stay cool

https://www.redarc.com.au/Content/Images/uploaded/Product%20Recall%20Notice%20FINAL.pdf
The link above gives you all you need to know. So please read it before contacting REDARC as not all units are affected. It's only a small number sold between 1 Sep 18 and 21 Jan 19.
You will need to have the serial number of your unit on hand when you call REDARC so they can verify if it is effected. But the recall notice also advises you can go back to your installer for a remedy as
well.
A cut and paste directly from the above link to explain the issue and clearly from that it is not a production matter as I read it
"Defect – Where the installation has not been carried out in accordance with the product manual, using dedicated wiring from a single battery supply, there is potential at any time for no trailer brake output indicated by a flashing yellow/red warning lamp."
Hope that makes it clearer
Rob

The reason seems a bit vague, if its caused by incorrect installation then they wouldnt be recalling the units.
Seems there might be a bit of a cover up.
Took tekonsha about 6 months before they admitted they had a problem with the old
grey label voyager units.

Yep, only recently made units affected, maybe a change of manufacture process / design, that wasn't tested thoroughly enough before release.
Noticed they have released a new V3 model.

G’day
I copied and pasted cruza25’s link and that comes up with a serial no list, as
well as a serial no search function.
I’ve got one I’ll be checking when I get
home
Thanks for the info Mike
Cheers Shane

Hey Mike as a Member I thought you might find this info useful for future posts...when posting a link, use the button below the box where you are typing to ensure the link is activated for people to follow. Just typing a link won't ever work here.
