If running as a fridge. 2 to 4c. Depending how cold you like your beer.
If running as a freezer. -10c

Trial and error is the only way. Fresh food needs to be below 5c but thats not really cold enough for drinks. If it gets too low things can freeze. IMHO 2c is pretty well right but to be sure bring it around with a couple of 6 packs in it and we can start at 5c and work our way down until we find the happy medium : )

I run my 60 ltr Engel at -3 & I find it compatable to work as a fridge/ freezer so your drinks don't freeze 'n your food stays frozen

You can stratify the cabinet temperature a bit. Talking 40 litre experience here. Cryovac meat and chicken on the bottom, then a layer of fruit box styrofoam. Beers next then more styrofoam. Lettuce and tomatoes and butter on the top.

I put a blue tooth temp monitor in the middle layer and like that temp to sit around the 4 Deg C. The lowest level will then be very close to zero.

Other wise, a layer of beers on the bottom around 4 Deg C and stuff the rest of her stuff.

Well, I reckon it was 2004, heading into Bathurst Bay, and the outside temp was about 35 degrees, but it was a frosty 3 degrees in the Engel. Please forgive me, but I had to save those poor beers from frostbite :D
