It’s moving fast, rain all at once does that also some of the area had rain a couple weeks ago.
Here’s today’s Sat Image if you go back to the other thread you can compare the flow in a few days.

That’s a fantastic idea
The BOM river readings are a bit funny let’s see what it is like when it gets to
Birdsville. It’s moving fast.
Have you seen the
Flinders River Sat. Image very freaky.

The
Birdsville Bakery Facebook page is also posting video of the Diamantina River at the Bridge. According to their latest post, all roads into & out of
Birdsville are now closed. Not sure if this also applies to the QAA Line from Poeppels Corner.
Macca.

Macca,
QAA Line is still officially closed till mid March. Doubt very much if any water has reached it yet. Think Eyre Ck is still up around
Glengyle Station, according to BOM Flood Bulletin.
Mate & I were discussing whether Eyre Ck would close QAA this year, about a week ago. Back in late Sept 2018, he’d taken me for a tour across the Eyre Ck floodplain, and across to a huge, dry
waterhole on the Mulligan. There is an immense amount of dry country to soak up much of the then known Georgina water.
Since then, the
Hamilton River has snuck into Eyre Ck with a moderate or better flood, and mate & I may have to reassess our prediction!
