We are presently at Lucky Bay, out East from Esperance, and considering a trip out to Alexander Bay. To get there we would need to travel along Fisheries Rd and then Alexander Road.

Is there any recent advice on these roads’ conditions?

Talk to the local rangers. They will be around Bay some where. they live out there.
If camp hosts on site there or Cape LeGrand ask them and if they don't know they will find out.
a beatiful part of the world around there.

I did ask them and they don’t know! I guess they are too busy being in other places to have been out there recently....or we spoke to the wrong people.

It is a long way to go out there only to discover it is full, and apparently only a few sites are suitable for vans of our size (19 feet).

Alexander Bay camping area is on Alexander Rd, 85 km east of Esperance. A stunning coastline greets visitors to this shady camping area, which is situated in native bush just off the foreshore. The pristine beach is perfect for swimming, fishing or just relaxing while enjoying the panoramic views. Van sites are limited, the access road is unsealed, and you need to bring your own firewood and drinking water.
