I want to use Traveller on my Galaxy Android ph and on a Windows 10 laptop. Has anyone used an android emulator such as Bluestacks to run Traveller within Windows. I'm interested for 2 reasons Firstly there is a saving by not having to buy 2 versions of the programme and secondly it should keep both identical as often programmes running on different platforms have considerable differences in presentation and operation.

Gerard when you chose to avoid buying a license for a product you wish to use you are effectively stealing. We developed this app completely in-house. We are a small privately owned, family business. We were once travellers like you and had an idea and worked for 19 years to get to this point. Secondly, the app is identical on all 3 platforms with one exception - the Windows version allows use of a mouse as well as touchscreen.

One more thing, you would only need to purchase the additional license for the app component only at $59.99. You don't need to buy additional offline map licenses, you only need the 1 map license.

Thanks Michelle, while the cost was a consideration. It was more the differences in functionality across different platforms which was my main concern.

I haven't tried Exploroz, but I have tried Memory Map on an Android emulator based on top of Windows 10.

I used Memu because it can get a GPS location from the Windows environment. Most emulators either don't support GPS or you have to spoof it.

Aside from the licencing which I would assume is the same as using a real Android device, it seems to work well.

Note Memory Map don't charge for the app and allow several copies of each map that you purchase, so I'm not violating any licencing issues,

Agree with Michelle, its best to buy license. As for the emulators many don't support gps functionality plus bluestack safety is another concern to look for.
