What are these two "Things"?

In my 2003 4.2 Patrol there are 2 elongated plug type things situated in the front passenger side door sill. They appear to have discharged some oily gunk. I Haven't checked other sill's as yet.
Anyone ???

They are possibly plugs to seal access holes for after market rust protection.

And the oily gunk will be the antirust treatment which may never go hard or dry. May seep in hot weather. All good.
