Hi,
I know the roads are currently closed, but are there usually any creek crossings between Birdsville and Innamincka? And in the stretch between Innamincka and the QLD border?
Thanks

Innamincka Hotel advised very recently that all roads are open into there, with the exception of Walker’s Crossing & Coongie Lakes tracks. These 2 tracks are closed at the causeway on the Cooper, adjacent to Innamincka.

There are many creeks and gullies between Birdsville & Innamincka, if you are travelling, say down the Arrabury road. I don’t recall any significant creeks between the border & Innamincka, the road alignment is well away from Cooper Ck.

Thanks for your reply.
Would the creeks require a snorkel? I don't have one, and just want to make sure I wont need one! Planning a trip in July.

If there’s no further general rain over the coming months, then you’d be unlikely to need a snorkel. Roads are usually closed before water levels get too high.

July is one of the driest months of the year.
