Hi Cokeaddict,
I previously had a Nokia 5330 (or similair) and have only just changed to the Kyocera 2235.
Physically, compared to the Nokia, it is slightly larger (not a problem) but has an antenna protrusion that can catch on things. Its probably larger than the current crop of mini sized phones, but I reckon some are too small to use these days.
The Nokia has less buttons that, once used to, makes it easier to operate IMHO. In comparison the Kyocera has a 4-way button plus 4 function buttons. This means you are pressing different buttons to get to different things, not better or worse, just different. The Kyocera has a better contacts system in that you can have multiple numbers (
home, mobile, work, fax, email) for the same contact. The Nokia requires a separate entry for each number. I am in the process of having the car kit fitted, then I can use the voice features (voice dialling, voice answer etc) - should be neat, but yet to use. Also has email and WAP facilities, but I do not use these. Down side is that you cannot have call waiting, 2nd call goes straight to voicemail (is that a CDMA feature or phone limitation or have I yet to work it properly?)
Overall, its a nice phone but nothing super special. Very functional and not too gadgety (no camera, FM radio, colour screen etc). I would go for the 3325 as it has a builtin loudspeaker function, something i would find very handy for work conference calls, but you may not require this.
Cheers
Captain
