Hi Paul

This one could take some cracking.

Can I please start with a state?

Northern Territory?

Either way, that red sand has me hooked and is great to feel under your feet.

Cheers

sorry to spoil your fun today - I shouldn't have commented.... I have unfair advantage of having been pretty much everywhere and this is my job to know this stuff. So to make up for it, here is one for you all - not sure if its too hard though... take your time, you may continue this thread tomorrow if it takes a while...

Now because it is very hard - I will also give a clue in the next picture - anyone that has been there might recognise it by the markings on the rocks ... look closely...

Rodney got ut, yes this is Wunna Munna rockhole. Just out of newman and marked as a Place along an unmarked track off side of road that is for 4wds only. We were there last week. This site features a massive aboriginal rock gallery of engravings showing detail of humans and animals that seems far less primitive than most you see. Does anyone know much about these? Ill be researching some more before i put up my photos into places. A really nice gorge with a track that continues on fir another 4km or so that has a few bad washouts so becomes 4wd obstacles and tge area gas many small mining exploration mounds. Great spot to tbreak up a highway trip in thus area.

Hi Michelle,
A very lovely place, lots of historical artworks. We visited there whilst in Newman at end of April 2015. Was surprised to find lots of small fish in the rock pools.
Hopefully if I've got this right a search can be done if you go to: brolgahealingjourneys.com and go to Wanna Munna Rock Art Site - Pilbarra Region WA a lot of Information and Pictures can be found.

Seems to be a lull in this thread, so I'll just nudge it along a little.
Here's a view that shouldn't be too hard to pick.

Cheers

Is it in Victoria's Shipwreck Coast - Great Ocean Road area?

PS. It was my understanding that Pick This Place was to be a Monday item, with a new thread each week, like Friday Funnies. That may be why the thread is quiet right now.
Cheers
