This year I did a trip 20,000+klms covering NSW, Qld, NT, WA & SA & did not see 1 ExplorOz sticker on any 4x4, caravans etc. travelling. Years ago you would see them all the time on vehicles etc.
I did see 2 stickers, 1 on a gate on the way in to Wolf creek crater & 1 on the sign at the Gregory tree & neither was fitted neatly or square.
I believe they should not be put on any signs/land marks etc. unless sponsored by ExplorOz otherwise there just a form of graffiti & don’t do this forum site any good. Be proud & fit them to your vehicle. Yes I’m only a visitor now was a member but still have a very faded ExplorOz sticker on the 4x4

We have just got back from 10km trip Vic,NSW, QLD, SA and as you no stickers seen. Years back you would see quite a few each trip with the odd call over the radio from a member you didn't know saying G/day.
As Sandman said in EO gathering post things have changed.

Have to say it's been a while since I've seen one while out & about. Can remember years back spotting the odd one here & there on vehicles, as well as the spare tyre covers.
I did have a sticker myself many years back when I was a member back around 2000. Have changed cars a couple of times since so lost the sticker in the process.
Cheers

There is a very obvious reason why there are less stickers about now. Our business changed 3 years ago when we removed the retail shop with products posted to customers. Every order for many years was sent with a free bumper sticker but all that has changed due to our internal sales restructuring.

From our website we now only sell ExplorOz products - EOTopo map licenses, Membership and a few merchandise items. Also since 2016, we've also been selling in the app stores. Most sales are downloadable product so there is no postage and therefore no free bumper sticker. Its a very different scene now.

However, people who buy a Membership Subscription do receive a special Member sticker in the mail. It has the ExplorOz logo and says ExplorOz Member 2019-2020 or Lifetime Member. For the past 3 years these are the only stickers we've distributed and accounts for what you've seen, less of the free bumper stickers on cars, vans etc.

Totally agree we dont want stickers used as graffiti. They are not for marketing but just for Members. Some even request we dont send the stickers.

These days most people buy a Membership subscription for the purpose of accessing the Live Track Logging facility offerred in the ExplorOz Traveller app. They may or may not even use the website as the app has everything they need for travelling (maps, places, treks).

Our business might look very different now to the past from your perspective but our products have changed dramatically to meet the changing demands of consumers in this industry.

Hope this clarifies.

Thanks Michelle
That's answered the reason why there is less getting about & totally understand that a business has to change with the times or they just go out the door backwards & as a person who can & still does celestial navigation, I do own a GPS with a full mapping system, gotta keep with the times.

We've had a YouTube channel for years and yep we have a whole series of tutorials. Just go to the ExplorOz Traveller webpage and you can see it all there...look for the Demos & Tutorials section.

We did 10,000 ks plus to Darwin last year and we didn't see any either. I guess plenty saw mine coming the other way! Michael

I saw an EO sticker on a barrel at the 300 Mile Peg near Dingo Claypan. And also one on a "comm tower" at the Emu site. Both looked to me like graffiti since they had been plastered on historical artefacts.

I don't have an EO sticker. I did find the broken off tip of a sand flag pole that had an EO flag on it. And at times I have sported that on my radio aerial. :)

Ditto for spotting stickers.
Just back from WA via SA and Vic/NSW and we didn't see one.

My mate and I both have wheel covers. You would think someone would say G'day.'

i hate any stickers or badges on my car . I always get pissed when mechanics stick a sticker on the back window without my permission and it gets ripped off straight away and stuck on their car :P
