Stuart Highwy will be closed on Monday the 16th from 7am

Stuart Highway Road Closure Update

Information as at SUNDAY 15th September, 10am

STUART HIGHWAY WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY 16th SEPTEMBER FROM 7am.
Update on reopening will be advised as soon as information comes to hand.

(next update by 5pm tomorrow, for the following day)

On Days of Stuart Highway closures:

HEADING SOUTH, the highway will be closed around 7:00 am,
at the 60km mark south of Coober Pedy.
Please leave Coober Pedy by 6.15am to be
past the point of the road closure.
If you are past this point, you will be allowed to continue through.
The Highway will re-open at the latest, in the late afternoon.

Signs will be posted at the following locations
advising the south bound traffic:
-Just north of Coober Pedy
-At the William Creek turnoff, just south of Coober Pedy.
-Visitor Information Centre sign at the front of the Council Chambers.

HEADING NORTH, the highway will be closed around 7:00 am,
at the 7km mark north of Glendambo.
Please leave Glendambo by 6.45 am to be
past the point of the road closure.
If you are past this point, you will be allowed to continue through.
The Highway will re-open at the latest, in the late afternoon.

Signs will be posted at the following locations
advising the north bound traffic:
-Just north of Glendambo
-Just South of Glendambo
-Pimba

Notification of reopening will be posted to CPRBTA and DCCP Mailchimp,
Facebook,etc as soon as the information comes to hand.
