Hello,
I am wanting to get an awning for my prado 150
Was looking at the rhino rack sunseeker or ARB 2.5 wide.
What are your thoughts on these?
Is there a cheaper less brand name version with same high quality?
Thank heaps
Brent

I,ve had a Kings awning for 3 1/2 years. Used it countless times and its still working fine. I did put extra pop rivets on the main frame to add security where it mounts to roof rack main support. I also bought 2 side covers. Cheap as chips and every bit as good as the overpriced "supposed name brands".

Same as big fish, same set up, used it for 3 weeks straight up the Gulf a month ago, for the money you can't fault them, the trick is always peg it down.

Same as bigfish
I have a Kings 2.5 x3 awning and a 2.5 x3 tent from Kings that fits under it.
I use Rola roof racks for the solar panel above the canopy so it was easy to make a few adjustments on the awning fit.
In less than 3 minutes I can take it from the side of the ute ( travelling position) to the rear Rola bar, then fit the under tent so I have access to the rear of the ute and use the tailgate as a table for the
camp stove etc.
Only mod I've made is 2 extra posts about half way down the awning for that little bit of extra support.

I have an ARB and a Tigerz 11.
Both are the same quality. The ARB is in no way a better quality unit.

A search of Youtube for OCAN awnings turns up nothing.
Youtube keeps changing the search result to "Ocean awnings".

I have had both ARB and Kings awnings. I changed the smaller ARB over to a larger Kings. For me, quality is the same, both do the job admirably. My current Kings awning has been going strong for about 4 years, albeit it does not get a huge amount of use. Some can bag them all they like, but value for money, the Kings awning stacks up pretty
well. $300 for the Rhino Rack awning, similar for the ARB, and around $125 for the Kings, the choice is yours.

This is the one I've taken a liking to. Why? Because the hinges appear robust. Then again owners of the vheaper items seem happy with theirs.
