Bought the Kyocera 3245 outright at Telstra (St Mary's store SA) yesterday. Evaluation of reports here and via personal contacts pointed to giving it a go. Seems the coverage will be reliable in the 'burbs. Deal ended up at $395 which included the handsfree/12 volt charger/ leather case accessory set. What confusing pain phones can be........and they stumped me at the counter by knocking 10% off the lot, when I thought I had covered all pricing opportunities.....I actually think they were embarrassed at charging so much for outright (or was I dreaming ?).
Its on a $10 plan ($1 per minute for calls I hardly ever make).....there's a few credits in there but it seems the free short calls are now gone on $10 plans. You can nominate 3 numbers for 50% off calling...thats it. Call me stingy....I'll wear it.......the GSM phone plan just now closed off was running at $5 !!

Have you put them in your phone yet?
I have a PIm programme Pimex (free at www.pimexonline.com) just transferred all my contact to the Kyocera via data cable and job done. worh the effort. works the other way too so if I loose the info of the phone I can just reload it.
