Hi Vince, firstly my condolences for your mate, and hope you are also travelling well. I have been informed that driving on the lake will not be possible due to National Parks rules. Now I know why, as the station would also not want salt dropped all over their property. Driving to, and walking on the lake is permitted. I have seen many youtube clips of the racing, and noticed the tarps on the ground whilst final preps are done before the trial run. It looks like a great event to volunteer your services, as they state, they are always looking for help to run the event, and you can nominate for what job may interest you that they list.

Ahh, Billy did You miss Me at the last one? Unfortunately was too close to My o/s trip. In Tibet at the moment and will register as soon as I return. You need someone to control You.

Hi Barry, driving on the salt lake is not allowed, and camping at the edge of the salt lake is also a not permitted, as it is a National Park. Camping etc is near the Station's out buildings. I do note the map states that there is a campsite near the lakes edge,but is closed. This may be a different scenario at the time of Speedweeek Trials though, as I know very little of the the event apart from attempting land speed records.

i should have explained a little better,was not refering to camping on the salt but when you go down to the pits area on the salt and park there and stop(this is where you need the tarp},, to look at the vehicles,when i was there for the 25 th anniversary you could drive on the salt to do this,but it to be before 9 am you could also drive to the starting line for viewing, at the time there was a campsite not far from the bar, with toilets etc,this was not on the lake,cannot remember the name of the campsite,hope this clears up what i said earlier bye now

Hi Gizza, I have just spoken to Linda, a caretaker on the property, and yes generators are allowed. There will be time restrictions in the evenings as you would understand. Hi Gizza, I see an Ann K from W.A has also registered her name for the event. If you keep an eye on the registration page, you may find others from WA that may register as time goes by.

I am sure Billy will help out changing the twins nappies etc ;)

WHAT.... you are abandoning the twins and leaving them home. I shall be driving through Adelaide and have the room to pick them up. A couple of ocky straps and strap them to the roof rack will be ok. I am sure they will tell me where to go after that. Time off.... Just tell the boss your on stress leave and you need a couple of extra days to regather your mental health. I"m sure that will work.
