Good morning, I am trying to get information about using the track from Tennant Creek to Lajamanu/ Lul-Tja as a transit route. Anybody been given a permit to use this route? Anybody know anything about the route? TIA.

I didn't even know that track existed and I lived and worked all over the Territory I my younger days. I have looked it up and it would be a great trip. Good luck finding out about it.

Regards,
Joe.

There was a thread about this track, some time back.

From what I can remember, it’s now badly overgrown, so would be difficult travelling across there. Not too sure how you’d go about getting a permit as well.

When I was chasing up some info about it, found a story of a bloke that had flown across to Lajamanu in a twin, a Baron as I recall, with a young female pilot. Don’t recall the reason, but they flew most, or all the trip, at very low level, maybe 100=200’ AGL.

Seen it all, Done it all.
Can't remember most of it.
