The coke ovens at the Newnes industrial area in the Wollomi National Park in NSW. The area was abandoned long ago but in times past had thousands of people working there.

Can anybody tell if the bush fires have gone thru these ruins as the both have had bush fires near or at them
& a closed area according to the fire web site

My guess is "probably" for Newnes - if it hasn't already it probably will soon. There is fire activity all around the Newnes Pub and campground at the moment. Up till recently it looked like it had all died out on that corner but sadly not any longer.

Looks like Glen Davis might have escaped.

This link shows you where the fire activity is as well as the extent. The dots are "hotspot" measurements (active fire).
