We recently purchased a Fuso FG 4x4 on which we will put a slide on camper.
I am happy with the drivers
seat, and am wondering if we get another original
seat whether it could be converted to passenger side.

You can fit almost any seats you choose, but any change will require engineering approval.
Start by talking to your chosen approved engineer about what you want to do.

We put a couple of higher grade ISRI air seats in the FT and they are just great. The
seat model was already approved for the truck. Engineering was a super simple signoff for a nominal number of dollars. The OEM driver's
seat was a base ISRI model and not really in the same league (and needed a major refurb in any case so the dollar delta said go for the better one to match the passenger
seat).
You could do worse than give your local ISRI man a call to
check the situation for your truck.

Thanks for the replies....would like to modify an original
seat, just to keep them the same, so will look into it
If not practical will
check out after market.
