hi everyone,

we're here in alice for a couple of days......weather...superb...the drive into Alice is wonderful, and the scenery here is fantastic....we've had a great time so far.

Apart from the stress of thinking the van would shake apart on the Oodnadatta track, we enjoyed the trip. Al met one of the locals in Oodnadatta who walked up and introduced himself as "cooper"...he probably thought we were nuts bring the van along there...ahahhahahhaa.....we had 3 creek crossings, a couple of fairly deep sand crossing and quite a few corrugations..but it was worth it.....though not sure of the 4tonne of dust that got inside.....the Wombies Triton went from Bordeux to Ochre in about 30 seconds..

Al is taking the cruiser in to the local air con guru here in alice and hopefully the prob will be sorted....al is thinking that it's electrical.....

cheers for now

Lyn

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I wanted to see Lake Eyre with water. I want some warmth and dust. You are making me jealous again. Shirley your aircon is under warranty and Toyota should sort it for free in Alice...

Ohhhhhhhhh - I wish we could use our Aircon for other than demisting!!

Cheers

Andrew

G'day Lyn and Al,

Wait to you get back down here to the REAL world.......it won't be dust you'll be having trouble with; but MUD.....glorious MUD!!!

Hope you managed to get most of the dust out of the van......sleeping between gritty sheets and having that extra 'crunch' in your cornflakes is not my idea of good camping (but then again I'm just a big softie at heart) LOL

Keep enjoying your trip......you waited long enough for it to come to fruition.

Howdy Happy campers.
Your in one of my favourite towns. Heaps to see and do both east and west. Enjoy it whilst we sit here near the fire and suffer the winter ills :-)

Hi Lyn, Al & the Wombats
Good to here you are have a great time, dont worry about the dust it turns to MUD when it gets wet.
Keep an eye out ( today Monday) for the troops from TLC Vic about 16 vehicles
including someone we both know & a fellow EO member.

Safe Travelling
