We are considering going to Tassie for a trip. Are there many 4x4 tracks that would require a winch?
Are there opportunities for riverside bush camping?
Any Tasmanians care to answer?

Thanks for your help

Do you need a winch? They have lots of Genuine Quicksand over there.... Was in a mag yrs back, dude in a lux was shiating himself as his car started sinkin!

Theres a tassy group on Yahoogroups, would be another place to check.

howdy Truckster,
Now that would be scary mate, natural quicksand ay. Hell im wondering even if you had a winch ...would it be possible to walk infront of car to hook it up without u going down while standing there trying to unhook it from the car.
I'd be in need of a change of clothes too if it was me.
