Hi all,
I have a 2007 VDJ200 landcruiser and recently it won't start. I have narrowed the problem down to the brake pedal. I have checked all fuses (which i can find anyway, 1 fuse box in engine bay, one in LHS footwell) and they are fine.
If i connect 12v with a long peice of wire going from the battery to the brake pedal switch all is fine, brake switch works and i can start the car. That's how i know it's something in that circuit.
Does anyone have any ideas where i can go from here, does the BCM control the brake pedal?

Ryan,
Check with LCOOL. No start - brake light fuse
Try this-- from a search
Got in the car, and with foot on the brake, the usual green LED on the Start button was not there.
So with foot OFF the brake pedal, pressed the Start button once for Acc position and then held it down for about 12-13 seconds.
Hey presto, the mighty V8 roars into life.
Good Luck

That procedure will override the problem but not fix the fault.
