Heading down to Tasmania in a few weeks and was wondering if you can overnight along the foreshore of White Reserve.

We depart on a Sunday morning.

It was mentioned in a thread late 2018

Thanks

There are 3 options for overnighting on Kangaroo Island.
Council camping areas at $17 for 2 people (plus $10 for power if available), facilities vary. No reservations, first in, best dressed.
Some National Parks have camping, some don't. They must be booked on line in advance. $16 for 2 people.
Or caravan parks.

I am confused but that happens quiet often these days.

Why have you mentioned Kangaroo Island, is there a ferry that runs between Tasmania and KI?

When we went over few years back meet a couple who were going to camp down the road a dead end opposite the Toll freight ship dock .Sorry don't know Melbourne so streets are a blur best I can describe is its towards the city from the spirit dock just hug the water .Was a Sunday night so very quiet no trucks or freight and I don't know if they got moved on the security guard from the toll depot knew they were there.

FWIW
Ring South Melbourne Council or S M Police Station.
We used to live nearby and I wouldnt chance it then, but maybe things have changed.
Happy travels.

A.J. you are better off parking up just over the bridge at Newport. Some nice out of the way places and you won't get hassled. Presume you are self contained with on board loo.

Here's a link to a spot off The Strand down on the water near the newport Power station. Worth a look.

Yes you can park at Perc White reserve while waiting for the ferry. There were 6 other vans there when I stayed 5 mths ago. Very wide street with parallel parking
