For those that are interested in attending this years National Gathering at Mt Ive Station, it is not that far away. Yes I know it is not till September /October but, it takes time to organise time off from other activities, as
well as prepare for the trip for those that need to travel long distances. If you have not registered an expression of interest, please go to
membership then to current gatherings and place your name on the list. This event is an open event for all ( including visitors) who are interested in meeting like minded people who wish to meet other members. If you do intend to attend, you will need to ring Mt Ive Station directly and register with them as
well. Also visit their website to see what they offer on the Station. There is a description on the gatherings site with last minute info to be posted there by the end of July. The description is fairly comprehensive as of current conditions. This station is the only entrance to
Lake Gardiner that hold speed week on the salt pan in March. 1 week for Australia record attempts and a second week for International attempts. Whilst we are there, we also hold little raffle amongst ourselve to raise a bit of money that goes to the stations local charity. We welcome all attendees to bring along a small item/items to be able to raffle to go to a good cause. For those that are not sure, have a look at some of the past Gatherings to get an idea of such an event. I hope to meet up with some that were at past events as
well as newcomers. This event is not organised by David or Michelle who own exploreoz, but just a social gathering of like minded people.

If the travel restrictions are lifted then I reckon the National Gathering 2020 will be on.
Cheers Kev

At this stage it is too early to comment. If the Border restrictions are removed and people are allow to again travel, I would put it to the members for their opinion. Further to that would be the permission from the property owners to whether they would allow visitors. I was hoping to visit the Station in June, but due to the current circumstances we are house bound. I will keep people in
the loop when I recieve more info. As an example, I couldn.t get a response or permit to travel in the
Woomera area, and that was lodged before the virus hit.
