We are looking for an attached shower tent to fit on the side of our off-road trailer. The choices seem to be the KickAss Shower Tent, Quick Pitch En-suite, and similar (maybe re branded/) units from Drifta and Ironman. it seems the major difference is in how the top tent support is done. Either two arms with a third side being a strap (KickAss) or a parallelogram design with a solid outside bar (Quick Pitch). It seems to me the KA is simpler, fewer hinges, but.... Comments from owners of any of these, pro/con would be really appreciated. Thanks

Keep in mind that an attached shower area means you will likely have water run-off directly next to your camping area. Sometimes this may mean you have to park in such a way as to eliminate this.

A $50 pop-up shower tent can be just as quickly attached to the vehicle or, if required, set up away from the "living" area in a more suitable spot.

Not suggesting this is the way to go (though I do), just pointing out some options. Of course, you may use a fully contained shower base. Bit of a pita, though.

Cheers,
Mark

To prevent the area surrounding our shower we have a shallow tubtrug from bunnings that we stand in. I have fitted a skin fitting with a hose to drain the water away from the general area.

Pinko, there's a spelling error in the filename of the file you posted, it should read "jpg", but it has only "jp" instead. This prevents the file from being opened or viewed.

Cheers, Ron.

I have an Ever Shower which is just great. I can use it inside and outside my camper as I wish. When travelling with others it is easy to share as well. Chris

Late last year they had the KA shower tent by itself for $170 online. It works well and while we use the outside shower fairly frequently it will come in handy sometimes when others are around and we're not camped by ourselves.
I'm intrigued as to what a tubtrug is too ;-))
A mate bought a Drifta with the solid bar on the outside and it is a much heavier unit as it is made of steel where the KA has an aluminium extrusion for the main rear frame. The tent sections where very similar.

If you look on their website there are quite a few combinations with showers, heaters and bits and pieces , I only bought the shower enclosure itself and nothing else. They had the online special at the time so figured at $170 I couldn't go wrong. $349 just now for the bare bones unit.

Peter, you certainly got a bargain. Can justify $170, $349 not so much, LOL

Yes I thought so at the time, it's interesting with a few of these "cheaper" retailers that the prices vary considerably, in fact the ACCC has fined a few of them for selling stuff at advertised "special" prices which are often more than the normal prices.
I suspect that what happens is that they get a huge shipment of product so discount it to bring stock down to manageable levels and then slowly bring the price back up to what everyone else is charging for a similar product. I guess a few thousand items sold at X profit is better than a hundred at XX profit.
Be interesting to see what happens as supply is slowed or stopped with the current production shut down in China.
I know the local camping store has times when stock is low or non existant on some items and then there is a flood of stock before it tapers off again and prices stabilise at a higher level.

abqaiq Hi, we have the kick ass on the side of our hardtop camper.
No Problems as yet mounted it on the side of the roof outside the shower compartment
and I am modifying it to clip to the wall and have a cut out to access the hotwater compartment.
Easy to setup and pack up. Bought direct from their web site. hope that helps you.
