If the van has done a fair bit of work then the rubber
suspension will have sagged to a certain extent. Only replacement of the units would restore to OE. I would not buy a van with rubber
suspension. Maybe in Europe if I lived there with smooth roads. However, if used anywhere other than smooth roads I would not consider buying a van with that type of
suspension. Perhaps Alko have better units than those for sale now. The style of frame underneath sort of prevents fitting a decent
suspension system.
Edit. I notice IRS is mentioned. Independent Rear
Suspension. Independant maybe, but not IRS unless only on the rear axle set. Possibly IRS is being used for description of Independant Rubber
Suspension. A bit confusing in motoring terms.

The best off-road vans produced Oz, Pheonix, built by Barry Davidson, used that
suspension. They survived extremely
well. There is nothing much better produced even today.
