If the van has done a fair bit of work then the rubber suspension will have sagged to a certain extent. Only replacement of the units would restore to OE. I would not buy a van with rubber suspension. Maybe in Europe if I lived there with smooth roads. However, if used anywhere other than smooth roads I would not consider buying a van with that type ofsuspension. Perhaps Alko have better units than those for sale now. The style of frame underneath sort of prevents fitting a decent suspension system.
Edit. I notice IRS is mentioned. Independent Rear Suspension. Independant maybe, but not IRS unless only on the rear axle set. Possibly IRS is being used for description of Independant Rubber Suspension. A bit confusing in motoring terms.

The best off-road vans produced Oz, Pheonix, built by Barry Davidson, used that suspension. They survived extremely well. There is nothing much better produced even today.

Alignment of independent suspensions (without full cross axle and maybe even with ) is a specialist job. Usually not doable by a typical alignment place as they are setup for a four wheel single frame job (car type system) . I found that truck alignment places have the correct machine to do trailer alignments. Just saying....

Any Jurgens which were imported AND meant for offroad had the Alko rubber suspension cut off and had cruisemaster coil trailing arm suspension installed.
