I've tried Bravo browser and DuckDuckGo for search (for a week) - but unfortunately, for me anyway, they are not a patch on Chrome browser, or Google Search.
Unfortunately, Google have "cornered the market", with their size and power, and their top-class search algorithms.
Also, Google Maps and Street View are invaluable and wide ranging, and beat anyone else, hands down - despite their errors, and despite the fact that in many country areas, Google have not updated their Street View since it was first carried out in 2008.
Regardless of their shortcomings, both are still way ahead of any other offerings. I don't like or trust Google, and I wish some other company could offer equivalent coverage and service - but it's just not happening at present.
Perhaps some start-up might be able to harness "people power", and utilise all the information that people give freely on their
blogs, websites and forums, to combat Googles power and coverage - but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
Cheers, Ron.
