Hi all
After 4 weeks on the road and 6820km, we have made it home again. Meeting up with Willem, Pesty, and Roachie were early highlights of the trip. The main part of the trip was a 4-vehicle tour following the Murray River and the Darling River from Murray Bridge to Bourke. Great fun, great photos, and the camping gear is just about right now. Thanks to Pesty for the roof rack which allowed me to leave the trailer behind.
Cheers

Now if Willem, Pesty and Roachie were the early highlights of the trip, the lowlights must have been real shockers... lol. All these people tripping around is making me restless!

Not going too bad. Have been trying to eat healthy and get down under 90kg again.

On the wheel carrier front, I went back to Opposite Lock and they said that they would take the Wheel Caddy (!) off and have a look at it and replace the bearings and they reckon that it would be alright. They said that it should have a certain amount of flex in the mount and that they thought that part looked alright. Can report back after 15th July when they are going to 'fix' it.

How are your sagging bits?

Andrew

Glad to hear you had a great trip. We did the same trip this time last year BUT we had one little storm cloud that kept dropping 2 - 5 mil in front of us so we had the good fortune to stop for a few day on the darling waiting for roads to dry out.
Off to Birdsville on Friday so may see you when we come past

Hi John glad you had a great trip and made it home safe, looks like the rack surved you well, I suppose you have still got Anita with her nose to the grindstone down yonder?

Yep. I've sent her out to work to pay for my expensive 4WD hobby!! Should see her again in 3 weeks (unless she likes it better in Port Augusta than Oodnadatta).

Cheers

G'day John,

You are right about the highlight being meeting with other members all of whom are so hospitable. It has been great for us too. Meeting with Ruth and Ian, Willem and Judith, and Des and Mrs Lexic. We look forward to much more contact with these friends.

There were a number of us too last Thursday night in the camping ground behind the Pink Roudhouse, who would have caught up with you had you been home. Mr and Mrs Al, the Wombats and ourselves. We had a great night together but not as rowdy as a lot of the loacls though.

Better luck next time!! I get 16 weeks leave per year, so I get to escape and do some 4WD camping from time to time. Pity it coincided with EO members visiting!! Maybe I should arrange my holidays better LOL.

May catch up with you somewhere else - it's a small world.

Cheers
