Hi, we are doing a trip to Murray Sunset National Park. We would like to do a easy section of the border track as the vehicles taken are standard 4x4’s. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

It is a long time since we drove the border track...... This pic was from 2002 when we were doing some track maintenance there. We were towing a trailer and filling in some holes.
This one was a bit too big to fill :)
I do recall plenty of soft sand on some of the dunes though, and avoid it if it is wet because the holes fill with water and lots of damage results.

The Murry Sunset on the other hand won't be too big a problem, at least on the main tracks which are 2WD.
Travelling east on Pheenys Track in March this year.

And the southern side of Rocket Lake, again travelling east.

I would presume you are in Victoria ??
is the track in South Australia or Victoria as the border is closed :(
But put that aside it is an easy drive don't need anything special if you look at my blog our daughter drove it before she had a full licence .

The track is in Victoria, and most if it is one way I believe, if my memory is correct, it is north to south.
