For those of you with the Inawise TPMS that is no longer available in Australia there is now a seller in Australia of the same units.
This system is also sold as Valor in North America. Valor now has a presence here in Australia

Prices are similar to the original Inawise prices. He has kits and sensors in stock.
It looks like I am advertising their product. I am not. Just letting you know where you can find replacement sensors for your existing units.
Cheers
John

Hi Peter
The contact details I originally posted are all I have.
I have received a number of other documents from them including price lists.
It looks like this group is very recent in Australia. So a web site may not yet be in place. All the documentation I have appears to show that Valor from Canada has established some form of agency agreement with a relatively new Australian company.
My suggestion is you contact Joe directly using the email address.
I hope this is of use to you.
Cheers
John

Nomadic Navara,
I contacted Joe directly via email. Very responsive. I have a sensor unit on the way to try on my Inawise system.

TPMS sensors are available in two frequencies: 315MHz and 433MHz. Most that a used in Aus are 433MHz . I will only use external sensors. I found purchasing replacement sensors from the original seller cost's many times more than purchasing similar sensors online. It fact one sensor I purchased from a
well branded Aussie seller cost me more than a full good quality complete tmps system . The sensors that came with the set are strongly constructed and waterproof as the original. Your spec sheet should list your frequency . As with any new replacement sensor it has to be paired to the unit for it to read.

These Innawise systems use a sensor in the tyre which is matched to a removable ID chip that is plugged into the display. I've not seen other brands that use this system of ID chips.
If I bought another brand of sensor, how would I program it to match the relevant ID chip?

.
Yes
John, the 'original' Inawise systems marketed in Australia had sensors matched to 'ID keys' that plugged into the receiver. If you required a new sensor it came with a new key.
This seemed to be an ID system unique to Inawise..... other brands used differing means of sensor ID.
Be wary that the 'new' Inawise system has the same compatible key system before purchasing sensors to use with the previous system.

Incidentally, on the subject of after-market TPMS, I have tried several now for 4WD use. Both internal and external sensors.
The most convenient for ease of setting was the Inawise 4WD model. It was a simple flick of a switch to change alarm thresholds from road to 4WD settings. But it did have some limitations, primarily that these settings were otherwise not adjustable.
The Inawise is no longer available and I do not know if the alternative "Valor" has such convenience.
However I have now found a system with much appeal for me. The
Mata C from Promata . Configured for 4WD use, it is inexpensive and small, the display is uncluttered, and best of all the alarm thresholds are quickly set following alteration of the tyre pressures.
It is a simple matter of pressing the single button to set each axle in turn. This automatically sets the alarm threshold as a percentage of the current (adjusted) tyre pressure. Bingo, it's done, no matter what tyre pressure you have selected. You do need to accept the pre-determined alarm offsets but they are appropriate to all but OCD types.
It is designed to plug the whole unit into a cigar socket, although that did not suit me so I fitted it to a small Jaycar Jiffy Box on top of my Troopy dashboard. It is very similar to ARB's offering (and others) but styled for 4WD and with the convenient setting system.
It does however only manage four wheels. This is not a problem using the external interchangeable sensors but not suitable for towed trailers.
I found it so suitable that I also fitted a system to the Aurion.
