Your memory serves you well, Rex. The Shell at BV was and still is Shell. The Shell, The Pub, Caravan Park, Mobil/Post Office & Caravanserai Cafe all have EFTPOS available.

EFTPOS in the Trading Post at Innaminka. Never tried it at the pub, that could also be an option. But I was able to cash up at the Trading Post.

Several outlets at B/ville but ALWAYS carry some old fashioned stuff in case the system is down!
Wont need much with the economy of the Frontera LOL

Thanks Fellas.
Whats the joke Pesty, with aSTRONG tail wind down hill I can almost get 550 km out of a tank full, but only on a good day.
We are working on a long range tank for next year for the SD crossing. Heaps of room at the rear, well tucked up to fit in another 70 lt.
Are you heading out this winter, or have you used up all your holidays allready?

Sorry to tell you Vince but I get about 850km from a tank in my TD Prado and that's only the first tank! It then switches over to another of the same! But then again the Prado is a great 4wd whereas the Frontera .... well .... Cheers!!

Plenty of Eftpos in innamincka and Birdsville - we all work on the motto - IF YOU'VE GOT IT, WE'LL GET IT! See you soon, safe travels.

Apparently eftpos is available most places - but learn from my experience. Dropped into drysdale station on my way up to mitchel falls and went to pay by eftpos however my wallet had been stuffed under my seat for safekeeping and my card had worked its way out and out the door. I had prepared $200 cash which saw me through but I can assure you when you reach for your card along way from a major centre and even further to your bank (no anz in kunnunurra) it makes you realize the power of the card
