Following a discussion on another
forum about how to determine whether a road is paved or unpaved, I thought I'd look up the map legend for EO Traveller in the Reference manual (p12). I discovered that the resolution is too low to clearly resolve difference between the lines used. Could the pdf be updated with a higher resolution legend?

Use the original legend for full size resolution ie. from a raster map sheet or tap the symbol in bottom right of the online
EOTopo map.
Essentially solid red lines are sealed and dashed are unsealed with different thicknesses for major/minor.

The resolution of these isn't really any better as the thin dashed lines are too pixelated, if I remember correctly the recommendation for line art is 600dpi, not sure how this translates for screen viewing. I found a useful document on the
GA website.

Different colours would be the best solution

There are national/international standards for map production including colour, line width, dash spacing. I just couldn't find it in a hurry as I wanted to be accurate, see below, all values in mm. When creating a pdf you can select the resolution of images and line art separately, but I understand that the line art has to be a vector not raster image which I presume why the legend images are pixelated and the spaces between the dashed lines are blurred.
