looks like a train tunnel I took my hightop troopy through in Tassie before driving through it was banned

Yes Faydaway it is a train tunnel but not in Tasmania.

GarryR yes it is an old rail tunnel but as said above it is in Queensland.

I haven't been there. We were
fossicking for storolites east of Mt Isa in 1984 and were told of an old tunnel we could have used to get back onto the main road. Chose not to though.

Well Mikee5 you got the cigar after all. Yes the Wee MacGregor Tram Tunnel, a 2' gauge rail used to carry ore from the Wee MacGregor
mine through Hightville to Ballara where it was reloaded onto the standard 3'6" gauge line to the smelter. Very harsh but dramatic country. Those early pioneers did it TOUGH .
