Does anyone know of a publication, maps or web sites that show where fuel is available in the bush. I have plenty of maps that show place & location names but some of these are just that, a location, they dont show what else is there or more importantly what isn't.

It depends where in the bush.
The Hema Great Desert Treks Maps or CD cover most of the remote parts of Oz and show fuel availabilty. Outside the area of the maps I don't think availability is a problem.

barry,
not sure about 'outback' but for travel in the country, i have found maps available from the RAC in perth to be good, they show stops of interest, fuel stations (including what types of feul are available), etc etc. So maybe you should try RAC/RACV/NRMA or whoever applies for where you live?
