I emailed Toyota and asked them if they were addressing the problem . They replied and said to ask my local dealer - nice cop out . I am going to ring a dealer today , but does anyone know if there is a way to strengthen the diff ( apart from difflocks which work around the problem but don't fix it ) .
Or does anyone know if Toyota is going to bring out an upgrade or are they just burying their heads in the sand ?
Thanks ,
Willie .

There is a post on the next page about a front diff failure. Intersting reading. (ok its post 14032. Easier to find now)

Put GQ/GU diffs under it... you wont ever have a problem.... or do you mean IFS?
Honestly... you expected them to say yes? Not one manufacturer these days gives a straight answer...

Fit an ARB locker,
check the crownwheel mounting surface for runout first on the locker, and have a solid spacer for the pinion pre load machined, this cures the issue with toyota front diff.
NEVER snatch backward, or give the car a hard time in reverse either, as this doesnt help.
