Anyone know if Limeburners trail between Wombeyan Caves and Yerranderie is open?
I recall it was closed some time ago but maybe its ok again...

It's been closed for years and I don't see it opening again. I could be wrong, who can predict the future? It was still closed last year when I drove by.

It was closed "temporarily" about 16 years ago because of Yahoos on dirt bikes and in 4wds tearing up the beautiful Limeburners Flat.

Similar with the Yarramunmun fire trail between Yalwal and Tianjara on Braidwood Rd.

Thanks guys.
I was hoping it might have been reopened again after the bush fires that almost took out Yerranderie back around 2017 (I think)

Here's a link to Yerranderie Regional Park information that I got from Oberon Information Centre, it's been a few years since we have been down there via Oberon. It appears from this map that the trail could open but we have not travelled to Wombeyan Caves via those trails.

I got a call-back from National Parks and the road has been closed for many years, so I guess further checking is always worth a try.

Limeburner’s flat use to be private land & may still be & was a great spot, there use to be a plaque to one of the owners/settlers on the southern entry/exit & when that got vandalised it was not long after that it was closed. You use to be able to drive in from Burrier as well but that’s been closed for 30 plus years now
